I wandered the streets of San Miguel, taking picture after picture of beautiful doors. Colorful doors. Carved doors. Decorated doors. Doors with paint peeling. Newly painted doors. Multi-colored doors that un-self-consciously celebrate life.
Who’s behind these doors and what are they doing? Is someone celebrating a birthday? Someone fixing breakfast? Someone cuddling in bed? Someone crying, laughing, grieving?
So many doors. So many people just like me, living, laughing, loving.
I wandered the cobblestone streets of San Miguel peering down narrow alleyways opening into courtyards, flowers, fountains, wrought iron tables and chairs, a small family restaurant.
Hospitality.
Welcome.
Gracias por su amabilidad! Te amo Mexico!
I’ll come back tomorrow for the windows!
